The Windsor Festival International String Competition has flourished since its foundation in 2008 and we look forward to continuing to implement our vision for the competition over the coming years, as we increase its profile and position on both the British and International competition scene. Achieving the competition’s goals requires the help of many individuals. We greatly welcome your involvement, not only through financial support from sponsors, local businesses, trusts and foundations, but also through the enthusiasm and support of the general public and the local community. There are a number of ways to get involved and to become an integral part of this prestigious event: Volunteering

Windsor Festival International String Competition Youth Action TeamContinuing our goal to establish the Windsor Festival International String Competition as a fundamental part of the community in Berkshire we are very interested in hearing from young people in the Borough aged between 16 – 26 who would be willing to come on board a small and select Windsor Festival International String Competition Youth Action Team. This team would work with the Festival team to develop audiences and ideas for the string competition with the aim of increasing local youth involvement in the competition week through the coming years. Further information on the Youth Action Team may be obtained from Rosemary Taylor. Windsor Festival International String Competition Schools VisitsWe are delighted to announce that competitors from the 2013 Competition, along with WFISC staff will be visiting local schools during the competition week to enable us to share this exciting competition with the younger members of the community and also to explain how the professional arts world works. If you know of a school that would be interested in such a visit, please do let us know so we can make arrangements - contact Rosemary on This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
